David Westbrook
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT

In 1974, David Westbrook founded Corporate Communications Group. Today, CCG serves major corporations, non-profit agencies and charitable foundations nationwide.

David credits his success to his belief that any adversity can be overcome. He was diagnosed with juvenile glaucoma at age 12. Within five years, he had lost all vision. At least, in the physical sense. David's true vision was left unharmed, and over the years, became increasingly appreciated.

David has worked closely with CEOs of major Fortune 500 companies such as Sprint, Hallmark, Yellow Corporation, Met Life, The American Medical Association and the Mayo Clinic. He has numerous Silver Anvil Awards and is a former PR Executive of the Year.

His civic credentials are no less impressive.

He has served as a board member of the American Jazz Museum, the Metropolitan Lutheran Ministry, the Kansas City Community Foundation, the American Foundation for the Blind, Kansas City's Partnership for Children, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Board of Trustees. He is also former chairman of the local Chamber of Commerce.

David is a frequent keynote speaker on a topic he is passionate about, the enterprise of community building, at events sponsored by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the National Council on Foundations, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National School Board Association, among others.
